Apple has released urgent security updates to fix a zero-click vulnerability affecting iPhones, iPads, and Macs, which posed a serious threat to users—especially those holding cryptocurrencies. The flaw, related to image processing, allowed sophisticated attackers to compromise devices without any user interaction.

Apple confirmed the issue may have already been exploited in targeted attacks. The vulnerability was patched in recent updates, including macOS Sonoma 14.7.8, Ventura 13.7.8, Sequoia 15.6.1, iOS 18.6.2, and iPadOS 18.6.2. Cybersecurity experts warn that crypto users are particularly vulnerable because attackers can access wallet data and execute irreversible transactions for financial gain.

Juliano Rizzo, CEO of cybersecurity firm Coinspect, highlighted that an attachment sent via iMessage could automatically trigger the exploit, compromising the device and potentially exposing crypto assets. Users are urged to update their devices immediately.
