Changpeng Zhao (CZ), co-founder of Binance, publicly denied having any Telegram accounts in response to a user’s query on X about the authenticity of accounts under his name. CZ explained he does not use Telegram and that all such accounts claiming to be his are fake. He expressed dissatisfaction over receiving spam messages after his username became known, which caused significant disruption to his phone. 

CZ shared that he had discussed this issue directly with Telegram founder Pavel Durov. In response, Durov acknowledged CZ’s concerns and confirmed that the feedback led to the introduction of a new feature protecting high-profile users from spam. Durov highlighted the implementation of a paid inbox wall, ensuring public figures can use Telegram without fearing message overload.
