According to a study by MTS AdTech and social media management service LiveDune, blogs, video-focused channels, and news aggregators generate the highest reach and engagement on Telegram in 2025. The analysis shows that Telegram’s monthly active audience in Russia has reached about 105 million unique users, with people spending nearly 50 minutes per day in the app on average. 

The researchers also found a clear relationship between a channel’s size and its View Rate (VR), the metric that indicates what share of subscribers actually see a post. Regardless of the channel category, posts achieve their maximum reach within the first week after publication. However, only around 9% of subscribers view a post within the first 24 hours.
