Telegram founder Pavel Durov, a 41-year-old billionaire worth $17 billion, is funding full IVF costs for unmarried women aged 37 or younger who use his stored sperm at Moscow’s Altravita Clinic, and pledges to leave his estate to any children born. Durov, who relocated Telegram to Dubai in 2017, has six children with three women and over 100 biological offspring across 12 countries from donations started in 2010 to combat declining sperm quality amid global infertility trends. 

Though he stopped donating, his frozen samples remain available. Clinic director Sergey Yakovenko, a friend, convinced Durov it’s a civic duty. Ex-girlfriend Irina Volgar, mother of three of his kids, called it his mission to “spread his sperm around the world.”
