Rauan Zhumabek, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, met with Pavel Durov, founder of the popular messaging app Telegram, just before Durov’s participation in the upcoming Digital Bridge forum in Kazakhstan. Zhumabek shared the meeting on Instagram, emphasizing the high value and impact Durov’s ideas will bring to the forum. 

The ambassador expressed his pleasure in exchanging views with Durov and highlighted the significance of Durov’s contributions to the global dialogue on innovation and digital transformation. 

The Digital Bridge 2025, scheduled for October 2-4 in Astana, is one of Central Asia’s largest technology events, focusing on AI, startups, and digital innovation. It aims to position Kazakhstan as a key technology hub connecting Europe and Asia.
