Telegram is rolling out a large‑scale redesign of its Android app in 2026, now expanded in beta version 12.4 after first appearing at the end of December. The familiar side drawer has been removed and replaced with a translucent bottom navigation bar in an iOS‑style design, featuring core tabs such as Chats, Contacts, Settings, and Profile (the exact set may change by public release). 

The top bar has also been reworked: it now shows Stories, the Telegram title, emoji status, and a three‑dot button that opens options to switch day/night themes, create a group, jump to Saved Messages, or open the Wallet. A floating “Chat search” button appears under the header and hides on scroll. Attachments, Settings, folders, and pinned chats all received more rounded, “liquid” visuals, with Liquid Glass effects on some floating panels and buttons.
