A large-scale Telegram outage occurred overnight on January 5, with most user complaints coming from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO), according to the monitoring platform Downdetector. Statistics show that Yamal accounted for 15% of all reports, with approximately one in seven complaints linked to Telegram. Users mainly reported that the app was completely inaccessible and messages failed to send.

The Stavropol Territory ranked second with 9% of complaints, followed by issues in the Voronezh and Vologda regions, and Primorsky Krai. Most affected users were on Android (52.2%), followed by iOS (44.9%) and Windows (2.9%).
