Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has shared what inspires his posts on Telegram and other messengers. In an interview with TASS, Reuters and the Wargonzo project, he said he draws ideas both from current events and from Russian classical literature. “The source of inspiration is, of course, the world around us and Russian classical literature,” the politician noted.

Medvedev added that his childhood reading of Anton Chekhov, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky and Ivan Turgenev helped shape his writing style. He admitted that without immersing himself in these authors at an early age, it would be harder for him to write certain things today. Medvedev also said he personally uses the Max and Telegram messengers, but believes the domestic service still lacks optimal functionality and needs further development.
