A Moscow court has banned information about voice-deception services offered via Telegram bots. The prosecutor’s office request was approved, with the court stating that easy access to such services could foster a belief that crimes can be committed with impunity and undermine state authorities. 

The ruling also notes that using these bots would violate federal laws on communications, counter-terrorism, and combating extremism. The decision targets Telegram bots that offer voice-altering services used during phone calls, aiming to curb perceived abuse on messaging platforms and align with Russia’s broader security and regulatory framework.
