Duma deputies continued communicating with Russians on Telegram after the Kremlin’s demand to switch to the national messenger Max. A Polylog consultancy analysis cited by Kommersant shows Telegram remains the primary channel for official outreach, with Russian lawmakers from United Russia accruing about 4.8 million Telegram followers. House Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin ranks highest for average views and reposts per post, followed by Aleksei Neechayev, Vladislav Davankov, and LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky.

New People party posts attract the most views on average (around 31,000), while government-aligned parties hover near 11,000 views. The study also notes that roughly a quarter of deputies publish text-only messages on Telegram; 55% include text and image, and about 20% use video. Among the deputies, 116 are in “circles” and only 23 use voice messages. Telegram remains the default platform for cross-posting content across channels.
