Telegram’s November 2025 update (version 12.2) for Android and iOS delivers significant new features and interface enhancements. Users can now host live broadcasts in Stories through the “Live” tab, either as individuals or channels, with viewers able to leave and pin paid comments. 

Scheduled messages are upgraded, allowing recurring delivery intervals ranging from daily to yearly. The update adds a new gift auction mechanic, where limited gifts are distributed to users with the highest “star” bids, and losing bids roll over to subsequent rounds, with stars refunded after the final result. Android users receive an updated Liquid Glass design for chat panels and bot/control menus, which can be disabled in power settings. 

Additional improvements include music privacy controls, contact syncing/checks via QR code, and options to prevent receiving gifts from channels in privacy settings.
