Telegram has updated its Android and iOS apps to version 12.4, bringing a major February feature pack. On Android, the interface has been extensively redesigned: the side menu is replaced by an iOS‑style bottom navigation bar, most pages and UI elements now have rounded corners and a “liquid glass” effect, and the attachments menu in chats has been refreshed.

The update also introduces gift crafting: users can combine up to four unique gifts from the same collection to obtain a rarer one, with missing items purchasable via “Suitable Gifts on Sale.” Crafting is risky—there is always a chance all selected gifts will be lost, with the highest risk when combining two and the lowest with four. Other changes include transferring group owner rights on exit, returning media pinning in the three‑dot menu, joining group calls with the mic off, new bot button decoration options, improved website login via bots, and an updated proxy connection screen with an IP exposure warning.
