Telegram has rolled out a new update that focuses on security, monetization, and creative tools. Users can now enable passkeys to log into their accounts instantly using a device PIN or biometric methods like Face ID or fingerprints, instead of SMS codes. The encrypted keys are stored on the device and can be synchronized through popular password managers such as iCloud and Google, making authentication both faster and more secure, though accounts must still be tied to an active phone number. 

The update also adds gift purchase offers: when viewing a gift on someone’s profile, users can propose a price in Stars or TON, with funds held in escrow and automatically refunded if the offer is rejected or expires. Additionally, Telegram Stories now let users quickly add audio from their profile playlist via the sticker menu.
