Since the beginning of 2025, a Telegram bot has played a crucial role in Tatarstan by helping authorities detain 125 drivers caught driving under the influence of alcohol. Alert citizens report drunk driving incidents through the State Traffic Inspectorate’s official Telegram channels using a special feedback bot designed to receive photos and videos. 

The initiative demonstrates the effectiveness of modern digital tools in combating road safety violations. Residents of the republic are encouraged to continue reporting such offenses. Multiple reporting methods exist, including searching for the official “State Traffic Inspectorate” Telegram channel by region, calling emergency numbers 112 or 02, or a 24-hour hotline at 8 (843) 533-38-88. To facilitate access, QR codes linking directly to the inspectorate’s channel are posted on public reception points and traffic police vehicles. All citizen information remains anonymous to other channel subscribers.
