Authorities in Russia’s Yamal region are preparing to launch a Telegram bot that will provide residents and visitors with real‑time information on the condition of seasonal winter roads. The project was announced at a press conference by Svetlana Gillikh, head of the regional Department of Transport and Road Management. The digital service will function similarly to the existing “Pereprava LBT–SXD” bot, which tracks a local ferry crossing. 

Through the new chat bot, users will be able to quickly check the operating status of winter roads, traffic restrictions, and any schedule changes. Officials expect that this tool will improve both convenience and safety for drivers using temporary winter routes across the region, helping them plan trips more effectively and prepare for difficult sections in advance.
