Users attempting to translate chats receive an error stating “Translations are currently disabled”. The company acknowledged the problem via X on June 26, 2025. Telegram stated the feature will remain temporarily unavailable while technical fixes are implemented. No estimated restoration time has been provided. The functionality was widely used for cross-language communication within the app.
