Telegram has rejected claims by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) suggesting potential ties to Russia’s FSB intelligence service through network engineer Vladimir Vedeneev. While OCCRP alleged Vedeneev’s company maintains Telegram equipment and questioned platform encryption, it noted no direct evidence of FSB access. Telegram stated all servers are maintained exclusively by its employees, calling unauthorized access “impossible,” and emphasized its encryption remains unbreached with no private messages ever disclosed.
