Telegram’s latest iOS and macOS apps now display links sent by non‑contacts as plain text—no color highlighting and not clickable. Users tapping these messages won’t be redirected, reducing the risk of phishing or scam URLs.

To restore link functionality, add the sender to your contacts or hide the chat header. Alternatively, forward the message with the link to Saved Messages: the forwarded link will appear and work as usual, even if the sender isn’t in your contacts.
