Telegram has launched a limited-time Halloween event featuring three collectible gifts. The freebies are inspired by popular culture: Jason masks from Friday the 13th, vampire coffins, and tombstones. These virtual items can be purchased with Telegram Stars, the platform’s in-app currency. Prices are 500 Telegram Stars for the Jason mask (250,000 units), 5,000 Telegram Stars for the vampire coffin (limited-time, prioritized for older accounts), and 15,000 Telegram Stars for the tombstone (limited-time, prioritized for older accounts). 

The promo appears to run primarily for Russian users, with no clear rollout to other regions yet. The update comes after Telegram cofounder Pavel Durov highlighted an independent game about escaping a French prison, demonstrating the breadth of indie creations possible within Telegram’s Mini App ecosystem. This Halloween event underscores Telegram’s evolving strategy to blend entertainment with social features.
