Telegram is developing a new feature that will allow users to participate in live streams with the option to pay for pinning their comments. Currently available only on a test server, live streams will be accessible in the “Stories” section. Viewers can spend Telegram’s internal currency, “stars,” to elevate their comments. 

The more stars spent, the longer and more prominent a comment will remain pinned at the top of the chat. For example, a comment up to 80 characters can stay pinned for 2 minutes after paying 50 stars, while spending 5,000 stars keeps a longer comment pinned for 30 minutes. 

Payment also influences the number of emojis allowed in the pinned comment. This monetization approach enhances user interaction during live streams, offering a lucrative way for content creators to engage audiences and generate revenue.
