Telegram’s latest update for Android and iOS, version 12.1, brings a variety of notable new features to enhance user interaction and customization. Group calls and video chats with up to 1,000 participants now support live comments and reactions, allowing users to send temporary messages during conversations. 

A new contact notes feature lets users add private text reminders to contacts’ profiles. Users can also suggest birthdays for friends, with automated greetings sent through the app. iOS 26 users benefit from the sleek Liquid Glass design inspired by Apple’s latest interface, featuring translucent elements with light refraction effects. 

Telegram Premium users get new options to customize profile covers using collectible gifts. AI bots now support threaded chats and real-time streaming responses. Additional improvements include a streamlined gift interface, display of blockchain-based gifts, and an official mini-app for bug reporting and user suggestions.
