Tonkeeper has partnered with payment protocol AEON to integrate cryptocurrency into everyday QR code transactions, starting in Vietnam. This move brings crypto payments to physical merchants and services globally, mirroring the QR payment systems widely used in shops and services worldwide.

Vietnamese users with local IP addresses will now see AEON’s dApp in Tonkeeper’s Browser “Utility” section, enabling seamless QR-based crypto payments at participating locations. The visibility is determined by Vietnamese IP detection rather than manual region selection.

“We’re making crypto part of daily payment flows,” the announcement stated, inviting Vietnamese users to test the feature and share feedback on future expansion regions.
