DOGS, a meme cryptocurrency launched on The Open Network (TON), has achieved a historic milestone by executing the largest token generation event (TGE) in meme coin history. Inspired by Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov’s iconic canine illustration, the DOGS token attracted over 17 million claimants and has accumulated 4.5 million unique wallet addresses within just two weeks, surpassing all meme tokens across various blockchains in terms of holder count. Only stablecoins such as Tether on Ethereum and TRON have a higher number of holders.

The DOGS Mini App has engaged approximately 53 million users, with around 42 million eligible for the token airdrop. The extraordinary demand resulted in two significant outages on the TON network in late August 2024, causing a total of twelve hours of service disruption due to network congestion.
