Yandex’s Telegram bot @pic has risen to the top of the popularity rankings among content bots in the messenger. Company representatives told Durov’s Code that @pic is now one of the most used inline tools for sending media directly from the message input field, without needing to add the bot to a chat. To use it, a user simply types the bot’s name and a query, for example: “@pic birthday congratulations card.” 

Open platform statistics indicate that more than 4.5 million people use the service every month. Results appear in real time as the user types, and different bots can return images, videos, or music depending on their specialization. @pic relies on Yandex’s Image Search, giving Telegram users access to around 4.5 billion pictures from across the internet.
