Domain innovator Freename has closed a $6.5 million Series A round led by Entrée Capital, with participation from Polymorphic Capital and angel investors. The funding will accelerate development of its unified identity ecosystem merging traditional domains with crypto wallets through regulatory-compliant infrastructure.

The platform resolves Web2-Web3 compatibility issues, enabling dynamic domains that link to wallets and smart contracts while remaining browser-compatible. “We’re building infrastructure where domains become multi-chain identities,” stated COO Mattia Martone.

Freename already supports custom top-level domains across Polygon, Solana, and BNB Chain. Having secured an ICANN license, the company targets the $141B domain market while pioneering decentralized identity solutions.
