Telegram’s reported move to offer Perplexity’s AI-powered search inside the app would have represented a major integration, with discussions reportedly valuing the potential collaboration at hundreds of millions of dollars. Telegram channels and insiders claimed Perplexity was negotiating an official integration for Telegram and other platforms, potentially including Snapchat, with a proposed one-year embedding deal valued around $350 million in cash and stock. 

However, the transaction did not materialize for undisclosed reasons. On November 4, Pavel Durov announced a new official Perplexity chat bot on his Telegram channel, though the post was soon removed after the bot stopped functioning. The bot reportedly processed user queries but appeared unresponsive to commands, and other AI bots within Telegram, such as Grok and Copilot, have had limited availability or blocked access in various regions.
