Telegram has announced Design Contest 2025, inviting designers to create the concept for Telegram Nodes – a new feature described as the messenger’s equivalent of Discord servers or Slack workspaces. Participants are asked to design how separate “Nodes” would work inside the app, splitting personal chats from work and community spaces. These Nodes are envisioned as full-fledged environments with text chats, voice and video rooms, plus advanced admin tools and role systems. 

A key idea is separate identities: users should be able to set unique avatars, names, and bios for each Node, different from their main profile, and switch between Nodes through a side menu. Contestants must deliver layouts for iOS and Android in light and dark themes, user flows and an admin panel, plus a demo video. The prize pool starts at $50,000, with winners earning $10,000 and a chance to join Telegram’s design team.
